Privacy policy

• Public browsing: no account is needed to read news, documents, maps, or the member directory.
• Member directory: shows only the member’s name, membership number, governorate, and office — and only for members who consented to be listed and whose membership is active.
• Account: your email, display name, preferred language, and your role in the system.
• Service requests: the Department of Lands and Survey key you enter, any note you attach, and the data the department returns to you.
• Technical reports: the file you upload, its metadata, and its checksum.

Data is used only to deliver the service you asked for: listing you in the directory if you consented, completing your requests at the department, and reviewing and approving your reports. It is never sold and never used for advertising.

Your records are bound to your account in the database itself, not merely in the interface, so another member cannot read them. Authorised syndicate staff see them in the course of their work, and every administrative action is written to an append-only audit log.

Uploaded reports are held in a private, non-public storage bucket and are reachable only through a short-lived signed link issued after a permission check.

You may request access to your data or its correction, and you can hide your profile from the public directory at any time from your profile page.
